The alumni & staff orchestra of Ghent University (UGent). The orchestra was founded in 2015 and has been conducted by Kevin Hendrickx since its inception. “Continuo” stands for “moving forward” and emphasizes that the desire to make music together and the connection with the university do not disappear after graduation. Each year, we organize two concerts of our own and additionally give occasional performances. For these, we often collaborate with other music ensembles, as well as artists and soloists from Belgium and abroad. Continuo deliberately chooses an adventurous path and ventures beyond the major and well-known repertoire. We perform modern works by young composers, as well as older, lesser-known gems from the history of Western music.
