What questions occupy us, whatever the age we live in? From doubts about life and death to an elusive longing to grasp what lies beyond us: music seeks answers where words fall short. Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler and Johannes Brahms each did so in their own way. Steer between strength and fragility during Tod und Verklärung, with the following on the programme:
